Fitness Programs

The BASC offers fitness classes every day of the week, so you can join your friends and neighbors to stay active and fit in our friendly atmosphere!​​

Gym

Fitness & Work Out Room

The BASC has an fitness room with a nice selection of fitness equipment for strength training and aerobic conditioning, available for use during our business hours.

Chair Fitness

Chair Fitness classes are done either sitting or standing beside a chair for balance.  Fitness classes are on Mondays at 10:00 am, Wednesdays at 10:15 am, and Fridays at 10:00 am.

Indoor Zumba Class

Dancing to the Oldies

with Cece

CeCe will guide you in fun dance movements to music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s! A great way to begin your week! Dancing to the Oldies with CeCe is offered on Monday’s at 11:00 am.

Resistance Band

Osteo Fit

Osteo Fit will help strengthen the body, improve and strengthen muscles and also help with balance and stability. This class incorporates weights, bands, yoga balls and of course a chair for stability. Stronger bodies equal healthy bodies. Osteo Fit is on Tuesdays at 9:00 am.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.  Chair Yoga is offered on Thursdays at 10:00 am.

Tai Chi Practice Outdoors

Qigong

Marge Collins assists Qigong, along with a pre-recorded DVD, to direct you through a balanced routine of classic movements. Qigong on Mondays at 2:00 pm.

Powerbeats

(Cardio Drumming)

This weekly fitness class is performed to music, beating out the rhythm on yoga balls using drumsticks, and provides an excellent upper body workout. Powerbeats is on Fridays at 9:00 am.

Walking Group

Walk Day

Once a month between April and October, patrons can join in Walk Day and enjoy walking local cities, along the St. Joe River, University of Notre Dame, and many other locations. 

Dumbbell Workout

Personal Training

Patrons will schedule one-on-one time with a certified personal trainer and will be given a workout routine for their personal use.
